Beneteau Monte Carlo 5 (MC5) – Real beauty appeals to reason.

“Creation of the Monte Carlo project and birth of the range with which Beneteau is on the verge of revolutionizing the Luxury Motor Cruiser Flybridge segment. The new line will be developed by confirming all the Monte Carlo brand strong points and by extending to boats less than 60 feet the solutions and the attention to detail which distinguish the boats produced in the Italian boatyards. This is why the French group has entrusted the design of this new line to Nuvolari & Lenard. This contract will strengthen the collaboration between the two companies, already partners for the Monte Carlo Yacht range.”

It is official; Nuvolari & Lenard are currently working on the design of a new Beneteau Monte Carlo 5 range at Beneteau. It will cover the less than 60 foot luxury ‘Motor Cruisers Flybridge’ segment. This new Monte Carlo range will be the fruit of a special collaboration between Beneteau’s design office – whose knowhow in the design of the hulls is second to none – and the designers, Nuvolari & Lenard, who will lend their unique talent to the style, as well as the whole interior layout.

It will be up to Pierangelo Andreani, to manage and optimize all the interior spaces carefully. In 2008, the Beneteau Group, gambled on combining these two centres of excellence by creating Monte Carlo Yachts, the Group’s top of the range, which produces 20 metre Motor Yachts and above, in its futuristic boat yards in Trieste. From the same world, the new range announced reveals the Group’s strategy of exploiting the brands’ complementarities and accompanying owners in their desires.

The MC5, first model of the Monte Carlo range, will be launched at the Düsseldorf Boat Show in January 2013. We suppose that stylish elegance and quality will be there for all to see.

“We wanted to send out an instantly understandable signal”, explains Carla Demaria, General Manager of the Beneteau brand and President of MCY. “These boats will speak the same language as the Monte Carlo yachts. This can be seen from the first pictures, which we can now show you; a preliminary sample, while waiting to reveal the work Nuvolari and Lenard are currently completing. We are convinced that the design of this new fleet will leave a deep mark on the boating industry”.

Everyone knows the importance of a signal, when what it represents is really important, when it is the fruit of a single new action and when it sums up a desire to make new developments. To create a classic and yet innovative style, capable of translating a practical need for more responsible boating and re-examining the value of using luxury goods is a sign of changing times. Just like the decision to combine to the industrial know-how of the French Group, world leisure boating leader, and the quintessence of Italian boat design.

“We like to work with the Beneteau Group”, says Dan Lenard. “In their boatyards they know how to interpret our suggestions as best as possible. And it is not that simple. We are aware of this, since we always like to step well off the beaten path and away from trends. This is as much when we quote classic stylistic features as when we consider new solutions. It is fascinating to discover, each time, how much a mature and disciplined industrial process is required to create a real design product. Together, we want to show that where beauty is concerned, eyes are but an instrument. Real beauty appeals to reason and when it does it, we are really stirred by it.”

The Monte Carlo line will strengthen Beneteau’s position in the motor boat market” concludes Carla Demaria, “and it will create a natural pool of future potential Monte Carlo Yacht buyers, by guaranteeing the benefits of the Group as a whole”.
