Benetti will officially premiere their new Mediterraneo 116’ at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival

This new Class Displacement series model is a 35.5-meter motor yacht characterised by smooth and slender lines and represents a new stylistic direction for the Italian shipyard.

One of the main themes found on the Mediterraneo 116’ is the ambient brightness. The design of the superstructure offers more luminosity than previous models, amplified by several onboard design elements. Good examples of this are the 2-meter-wide crystal doors that take you from the main deck into the main salon, or the continuous 3-meter tall picture windows.

On the main deck is another example of the new design, the 6-meter wide cockpit gives a panoramic view of the sea with intelligent use of ergonomic spaces. Further along the main deck is the owner’s apartments, with the four guest rooms located on the lower deck, each one benefits from a large window providing a better sea-level view.

A fundamental element of the Mediterranean 116’s upper deck is the spacious open area on the foredeck. Some customers might decide to specify a pool but due to its versatility, it provides the opportunity for multiple uses. The sun-deck is an 80 square meter, 16-meter long open space to walk upon. The roll-bar is an integral part of the furnishings and ample storage space is provided for the guests.

Propelling the Mediterraneo 116’ are two Man V-12-1400 motors, each developing 1,400hp. These give the 116′ a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising range of 3,000 nautical miles.
