Counting down to the Carnival Cruise Lines – Carnival Breeze

Cruise line giant Carnival Cruise Lines recently released images of the new decor for its cabins aboard the highly anticipated Carnival Breeze. The artist renderings show a distinct departure from typical Carnival Cruise ship decor and even the newly debuted Carnival Magic, but it is not just decor that will distinguish Carnival Breeze from her sister ship.

Carnival Breeze Primer

Carnival Breeze is a Dream-class cruise ship being built in the Fincantieri-Monfalcone shipyards and set to hit the water for Carnival Cruise Lines in June 2012. Her sister ship is another Dream-class vessel, Carnival Magic. Her European home port will be Barcelona, Spain and she will eventually cruise out of Miami, FL in the United States. At 1,004 feet long, Carnival Breeze is capable of comfortably transporting 3,690 guests and 1,386 staff to destination ports all over Europe and the Caribbean.

The Decor inside the Carnival Breeze

Carnival Cruise Lines ships have long displayed a common colour scheme while maintaining unique and compelling differences amongst all its Carnival Cruise Lines ships. Joe Farcus has being involved with the aesthetic effort behind ship design at Carnival since 1977. He’s left his mark on ships as far back as the Carnivale and Festivale and as recently as Carnival Dream. Mr. Farcus will still be actively designing ship interiors, but with a renewed focus on future ships at Costa Cruises. The peach and tan interiors of the previous Dream-class Carnival Cruise Lines ships, Carnival Magic and Carnival Dream, will be updated to include cooler deep blue and sandstone tan accents. The inspiration behind the colour scheme shift is inspired by the natural hues of the Caribbean destinations Carnival Breeze will be bringing passengers to.

Carnival Breeze Activities

We’re sure the Fun Ship design team has a few surprises up their sleeve in time for June 2012, but we do know that the Carnival Breeze will also have the wildly popular Carnival WaterWorks, RedFrog Pub and Cloud 9 Spa which guests and journalists have raved about while on the recent Carnival Magic debut cruise. Families are still a main focus of Carnival Cruise Lines and Carnival Breeze’s facilities are geared towards several tiered age groups – Camp Carnival for the youngest cruisers, Circle “C” for young teens and Club O2 for the hard-to-please young adults crowd. carnival breeze is allowing parents some extra special late nights out together with new extended options for supervised care until as late as 3 AM.
