Dorsett Hospitality International will be showcasing the art of hospitality in London’s Shepherd’s Bush this Autumn thanks to a collaboration with the Affordable Art Fair and creative-duo Stickyline.

Inspiring a new surge of creativity that sees the arts and hotel scene intertwine, one of the fast-growing hotel group Dorsett Hospitality International is bringing its collaboration with creative-duo Stickyline to London in a global campaign to promote art in hospitality.

Dorsett Discoveries, an initiative introduced by the hospitality group, embodies its ongoing commitment to bolster artistic talent on the global stage, championed by Winnie Chiu J.P., President & Executive Director of Dorsett Hospitality International. Using art as a means of communicating the brand’s core values, this October will see London become the second city to display Stickyline’s latest art installation at the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea from 17-20 October 2019.

A symbol of travel and discovery, Dorsett Hotels’ signature blue bird will fly the nest this Autumn and make its way from Asia to Europe. Embodying Dorsett’s passion for art and travel, Stickyline will create a colourful installation based on Dorsett Hospitality International’s three core brands: Dorsett Hotels & Resorts, d. Collection and Silka. It will comprise of a large blue bird and four smaller birds gathered around a traditional Chinese egg tart and other local treats and will be displayed at the Fair.

Known for pushing the boundaries of innovation, the duo work with paper, engineered through the deconstruction of two-dimensional concepts and reconstructed into three-dimensional features. They create everything from giant sculptures to stage design for the likes of Sony Pictures and Mercedes-Benz.

Besides the role of President & Executive Director of Dorsett Hospitality International, Ms Winnie Chiu J.P. is also the Chairman of Hong Kong Art School, nurturing young and talented artists. She is an ambassador of the brand’s philosophy to enrich its guests with carefully-curated experiences unique to Dorsett Discoveries that introduce ‘eat, play and love’ in each of its hotel’s cities.

One key part of this is to explore aesthetics as a major influencer in a guest’s experience, celebrating the role of art in hospitality.

With two London hotels, Dorsett Shepherds Bush and Dorsett City London, Ms. Chiu will seize the opportunity to once again showcase the work of Stickyline this October. This is one of many initiatives to successfully grow the global stage for the local artists, as Dorsett Hospitality International becomes the exclusive hotel partner of the Affordable Art Fair, Battersea.

At the Fair, which now celebrates its twentieth year in Battersea, Dorsett Hospitality International will be giving away 200 limited edition personalised tote bags to visitors. There will also be an interactive bird-folding workshop where guests will be able to try their hand at folding their own miniature Stickyline art piece to take home.
