The Ethical Butcher will host a discussion via Instagram Live with Christopher Cooker of 3LM on regenerative farming in celebration of Earth Day.

The Ethical Butcher will be hosting an Instagram live discussion about regenerative farming in celebration of Earth Day. From 7 pm on the Ethical Butcher’s Instagram channel, founder Glen Burrows will be speaking to Christopher Cooke, a founder of 3LM: a land and livestock management network, specialising in holistic farming methods.

Their discussion will focus on the good, the bad and the ugly of the production of both meat and fruit & vegetables. The two specialists in their field are committed to minimising our impact on the planet while understanding that modern-day lives come with specific requirements.

Glen Burrows said: “The first Earth Day happened in 1970, it’s shocking to think that 50 years later our need to recognise the damage we’re doing to the planet is ever more important and not less important. Earth Day is a time a day to reflect and consider how our life choices impact the bigger system and how we fit into nature.

“At The Ethical Butcher we consider ourselves to be environmentalists, and we directly challenge the notion that all meat production is harmful to the environment. This year for many of us, Earth Day is happening during a lockdown, meaning we will be even more digitally connected. We encourage the use of this medium for open dialogue and discussion without judgement and to think about our impact and where we can improve.

We will be online to ask and answer questions related to how our business impacts the planet and what we can do to continue to improve.”

The Ethical Butcher is committed to sourcing and selling only meat of the highest quality, reared and butchered to a premium standard. Meat boxes start at £55, individual products from £4.50, shipped nationally. You can discover more by visiting www.ethicalbutcher.co.uk.
