The main collection of Farah Khan’s Fall/Winter 2013 is an exploration of modern icons and technical lines yields a collection of statuesque beauty and forms.

Held by the grace of the artisanal beading needle, creative director Dato’ Farah Khan shifts her vision towards towering beauties, diving deep into the consciousness of the architectural greats of the modern world.

Graphic silhouettes return but with its ferocity tamed. Dresses are cut at the knee or lower, and sleeved, in-line with a burgeoning new sensuality. This collection points to a refined elegance, held by longer, more body-conscious dresses. The introduction of new separates, namely the jacket and cape, are the perfect additions to master fall’s throw-on glamour. Abstract application of hard lines and smooth contours gives this collection an architectural intensity that is both modern and wearable.

Buoyed by the use of metallic hues and earth tones, the brand returns to its DNA to create a highly-disciplined and concise collection, where the collection’s panache is most found in the richness of textures, result of the brand’s famed beading techniques.

Using both high-shine and matte embellishments, this hard-edged collection consist of bursts of cranberry purple and white as well as gold. Elsewhere, rearranged, recalibrated and recharged versions of past dresses are born into new heroines.

The Farah Khan Collection is available at the Farah Khan Store, Lot G13, Ground Floor, KLCC in Malaysia as well as in the W Retreat & Spa in Seminyak, Bali, Plaza Indonesia in Jakarta and Beachwalk in Bali.
