The series of elegant minimalist white structures on the Chaweng Beach in Koh Samui already make The Library a “page-turner” in the area.

And now two fresh chapters are going to make the property even more addictive: the new Drink Gallery restaurant and bar, and the Bookmark suite. Adding to the 26 suite/studio cabins, the Bookmark is the hotel’s largest and most luxurious accommodation. The Drink Gallery follows the property’s penchant for striking, unusual design with a heady mix of art, design, food and creative drinks.

Sophisticated Urban Dining
Owned by Samui native Kasemtham Sornsong and created by designer Tirawan Songsawat, The Library is a refreshing and subtle play on a book, with expansive grounds providing ample space for guests to explore, each area representing a blank page on which to write their story. Under this green canopy lies the new two-story high glass box in which the Drink Gallery resides. Bold art and juxtaposed pieces of natural wood and steel furniture provide the prefect underscore to an artistically simple menu and playful drinks created by an expert mixologist from Bangkok. Serving mainly gourmet finger foods to be shared, expect delights such as the Samui Rangoon, made from local seafood and cream cheese, served with lemon-grass dip. The drinks are equally creative, with unexpected ingredients like rosemary and baked pear. From the interiors, food, drinks to even the crockery is designed to gives guests a wholly new experience.

New Heights of Lush Luxury
The new Bookmark suite will feature an expanded floor area of 102 square metres. Here, soft, flowing fabrics create a tactical contrast to sleek angular furnishings and an impressive en-suite conservatory with Jacuzzi. Each area of the suite will have adjustable lighting features, customisable to suit each guest’s preference. For entertainment, the hotel’s namesake in-house library has a collection of over 1,300 books available as a satisfying alternative to modern distractions for borrow or purchase. The signature vivid red pool is surrounded by a wooden deck, with direct views onto the beach and the sound of crashing waves in the background.

Designed as an outpost of casual elegance, the interiors are finished in a distinctly minimalist style with strong colour palettes. The Library provides a sense of purity for guests to enjoy the old-growth forest on the expansive 6,400 square metre grounds and the lively beach without distraction. Rates start at THB 16618.
