London’s world-famous Borough Market has announced Sarit Packer, and Itamar Srulovich of the popular Middle Eastern-inspired restaurants Honey & Co, as the latest guests for its Borough Talks series.

Speaking with Borough Talks host Angela Clutton, Sarit and Itamar will be sharing their culinary journey from the opening of their three restaurants to their successful award-winning cookbooks, along with details of their travels and insider tips on the best cities for food lovers.

The event will take place via zoom on Wednesday 7th July, from 1-2 pm and is free to join. Expect tales from their new book Chasing Smoke: Cooking Over Fire Around the Levant, where they explore beautiful ingredient combinations, age-old tricks and techniques, curious kitchen tools, and clever ‘rainy day’ advice for cooking over fire.

As fans of Borough Market, the pair are seen regularly buying fresh, high-quality produce from the Market’s traders. On 18th July, when Borough Market will be open for its fourth Sunday since its trading hours extend to seven days per week, they will be sharing their favourite produce from the day via an Instagram takeover.

Kate Howell, Director of Communications and Engagement at Borough Market, said: “We love seeing the dishes Sarit and Itamar create after visiting us at the Market. Their Middle Eastern menus are packed with beautiful fresh produce, sure to inspire attendees of the event to recreate at home, with goods bought from our traders. For those unable to join the event or who have perhaps missed our previous series, all of the Talks are available as part of the Borough Market podcast.”

Borough Market is open for business from Monday to Saturday, with al fresco dining available and social distancing measures in place. From Sunday 27th June, the Market is extending its produce trading hours into Sundays for the first time in history so that shoppers can access sustainable produce seven days a week.

The Sunday Market will focus on high-quality produce and store cupboard essentials; street food will not be served.

More than 40 producers will be open from 10 am to 2 pm, offering meats, fish, fruit & veg, bread & baked goods and store cupboard essentials. Visit boroughmarket.org.uk for more information.
