Leading US boutique hotel brand Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will open their first European hotel in the heart of Amsterdam this spring.

Incorporating the Kimpton persona of refined luxury, the De Witt Hotel will feature 274 rooms and suites with a playful and provocative edge. It looks set to be great bolt hole for creative cookies.

Little touches throughout will play homage to the vibrant surroundings, including striking Dutch wall art, bird bedside lights, blush marble tables and even a ‘living wall’ of florals and botanicals. In the courtyard, guests will also discover an open-air flower shop.

The hotel is steeped in history, too, as it’s set within three original Renaissance-era buildings. Within the property is a four storey ‘Little House’, dating back to the 1500s. Available for group hire, this storied home within the hotel includes a plush living area and separate meeting space on the ground floor.

General Manager of Kimpton De Witt, Mike Robinson says, “Amsterdam is the perfect fit for our first hotel in Europe – it embodies the style, flavour, and fun spirit of our brand perfectly. Our personal service and bold design will resonate well with this diverse, open-minded and fashion-forward city.”

When it comes to wining and dining, the Wyers Bar and Restaurant adjacent to the hotel will surely hit the spot. They’ll satisfy any foodie’s appetite with their American comfort food that’s given a Dutch twist. There’s also the House Bar for after-dinner cocktails, which is set in the most historic, unaltered part of the hotel.

Kimpton De Witt will feature some of Kimpton’s much-loved extras, such as complimentary bikes to explore the city and its famous ‘Wine Hour.’

Kimpton De Witt is located in Nieuwezijds Voorburgwal 5 1012 RC Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
