Yes, you can say it with flowers, or a box of chocolates but for a thoughtful and tasteful gift this Mother’s Day, treat mum to the Glamour Tea package at the decadent Jumeirah Carlton Tower.

This marvellous offering includes a manicure within the hotel’s The Peak Health Club & Spa, before enjoying master patissier Eric Lanlard’s new FUSION afternoon tea in the beautiful Chinoiserie. The Glamour Tea perfectly allows the chance for mum to take some truly well deserved ‘me-time’ alone, or you can book yourself in as well to be able to share a wonderful memorable moment with her.

The FUSION afternoon tea is inspired by Eric’s travels and his discovery of unusual and unexpected flavours and ingredients. Working closely with Executive Chef Simon Young, the two have united their creative culinary minds to deliver a refreshing twist on this time-honoured tradition.

The Chinoiserie is warmly inviting with its sophisticated contemporary-classic décor and soothing sounds from the resident harpist. On arrival, guests are spiritzed with Eric’s edible perfume of freshly baked pain d’epices – quite literally a taste of things to come and a novel way to draw out the flavours of the tea.

The mouthwatering menu begins with a section of savoury delights such as roast beef, watercress and creamed horseradish wrap and onion brioche with crispy Peking duck, spring onion and cucumber. To satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth, a selection of elegant pastries, cakes and desserts are presented to the table, from a wild strawberry cone pop topped with strawberry cheesecake popcorn, to dark chocolate cannelloni filled with tarte tatin mousse, topped with pecan smoked mini apple.

£55 per person.
