On October 18th in New York, Montegrappa unveiled its entire collection at its first-ever appearance in the elegant “salon privée”, the Luxury Review.

This event is organised to show a number of offerings from the world’s leading luxury brands, to a select audience in an appropriate setting. For the 2012 event, the venue was New York’s Metropolitan Pavilion.

Divided into two segments, the event consisted of a press and media showing followed by an opportunity for invited guests to mingle, to discuss the many luxurious products with the brands’ personnel, and to experience these items in person. Among the highlights of the evening were the unveilings of new models from Lexus, Fisker Automotive, and Ducati Motorcycles. Other fine brands included SimXperience, Steinway Lyngdorf audio components, Orbita watch winders, watch brand House of Horology with their “Bedlam” collection, and many more.

Appropriately positioned near jewellery displays, Montegrappa showcased remarkable new pens never before seen in public, along with recent masterpieces including the Alchemist, Chaos, Frank Sinatra and the complete set of Batman pen, watch and cufflinks. For world debuts, Montegrappa CEO Giuseppe Aquila arrived with the Centennial Dragon Pen, with a $1,000,000 price tag, and the hotly-anticipated Brain Pen. Most enjoyably, the inspiration for the Brain Pen was present, American professor of Neurology Dr. Richard Restak, with whom Montegrappa has been working for two years to develop this complex creation.
