Montegrappa launch limited edition gold and silver pen collection in celebration of European football

To celebrate 60 years from the first UEFA European Champions Club Cup fixture in 1955/56, Montegrappa has unveiled an exclusive limited edition writing instruments collection. This new collection is limited to 660 pieces with 600 in Sterling Silver and a further 60 in solid 18k Gold.

As with all special edition collections from Montegrappa, the pens absolutely reflect the subject matter. Everywhere you look, you see and sense the spirit of the “Beautiful Game,” from the cap top to the barrel tip. A masculine pen by its very nature, this writing instrument will proudly sit in any football fan’s pocket.

The UEFA Champions League-inspired pens are almost entirely made in Sterling Silver or solid 18k Gold, embellished with the UEFA Champions League blue resin in the details. The signature clip shares the profile of the Cup’s handle, the football trophy is represented by the pen’s cap top ending with the UEFA Champions League Starball, gold plated inside just like the true Cup.

With this collection, the writing instrument’s barrel end is longer than usual, adorned by a double blue resin line to represent the sportsmen’s socks. Both the cap and the barrel of the writing instrument strike for the virtuous low-relief torchon motif in precious metal, declaring name and year of each and every champion of the competition since 1955.
