Porto Montenegro in the Bay of Kotor has launched a new residential neighbourhood called Boka Place which offers a wide variety of eateries, retailers and 213 private and managed residences.

This year, probably more than any other in living memory has caused people to pause and rethink. 100s of millions around the world have received a huge wake-up call and now realise that quality of life is paramount.

It’s been particularly evident here in the UK with droves of people looking to move out of the big towns and cities to areas with more space and greenery. A good number of these are even considering life further afield, with many international property markets now beginning to reap the benefits.

This brings us nicely onto Porto Montenegro and specifically its latest addition, Boka Place.

Porto Montenegro was first opened in 2006, and since then has wowed countless visitors with its huge marina, luxury retailers, fine dining and luxury waterfront residences.

Over the years, we’ve written extensively about it, in the main covering its excellent location and world-class facilities.

For those who’ve read some of these articles and wished they could enjoy its brilliance year-round, we have some good news; they’ve added a new neighbourhood with residential properties at prices that many will feel will not break the bank.

About Boka Place
Boka Place is spread across five buildings which have been designed around a central square. The residential side of the development consists of penthouses, duplexes, managed and private apartments. It is positioned at the entrance to Porto Montenegro on a naturally elevated platform which offers panoramic views over the sea and surrounding countryside.

Those spending time or living in Boka Place’s will find lots to do in the central square. Aside from multiple eateries and a weekend market, it features a three-screen cinema, and kids play areas, a climbing wall and a collection of modern convenience and fashion retailers.

If you like the idea of moving here permanently, Boka Place has 69 private residences which allow all-year-round living. These properties will benefit from exclusive access to secluded gardens and an infinity pool.

If permanent living isn’t what you want, you can opt for one of the managed residences which offer unlimited access to the state-of-the-art fitness amenities including a wellness hub, 20m retractable pool, food lab, juice bar and infrared sauna.

There is another significant added bonus when purchasing one of the managed residences. Although Brexit is done and dusted, there is a large number of people in the UK who want to remain in the EU and Boka Place is one potential way of doing this.

Owners of a managed residence at Boka Place will be eligible to participate in Montenegro’s Citizenship by Investment Programme. Currently, this entails a minimum €450,000 and an additional €100,000 donation to a Montenegrin government development fund; successful applicants will be granted full citizenship within six months of applying.

The Montenegrin passport allows free movement across 123 countries and with the country’s planned EU accession by 2025, the holder will be eligible to a host of additional benefits.

Boka Place at Porto Montenegro is four km’s from Tivat airport which operates several flights daily to major European cities. The properties range in size from studios up to three-bedroom duplexes with prices starting from €190,000.
