Searcys is transporting guests to the slopes of Val d’Isère, Tignes, La Plagne and Les Arcs, with its Alpine Express Menu, new for 2024.

Available exclusively at Searcys at St Pancras, the menu is an ode to Eurostar’s dedicated winter fast service to the French Alps (running until 4 February 2024), just a snowball throw away from Searcys Champagne Bar and Brasserie at St Pancras International.

For those more interested in Après Ski than Alpine Skiing, the menu captures the glamour of the slopes with a glass of English Sparkling Wine, whilst the three courses embody all the warm, hearty flavours of dining in the mountains without the cold chill and heavy ski boots.

For starters, diners can choose from warming roasted celeriac soup, a seasonal winter squash salad adorned with pear, walnuts and Brussels sprouts, or a house game terrine of pork and guineafowl with confit roscoff onion and dried prunes.

The main courses are the pièce de résistance, showcasing the very best of ski season dining, including the iconic Tartiflette, a dish originating from Savoy in the French Alps and Aosta Valley, as well as a decadent mushroom risotto nestled with Jerusalem artichoke or the braised corn-fed chicken dressed in a classic French accompaniment of white wine tarragon sauce, and seared Cornish cod dusted with a hazelnut gremolata and white bean stew.

The menu concludes with an array of tantalising desserts, evoking the decadence and glamour of a ski season in the mountains.

Expect classic winter flavours such as spiced wine poached pear with cinnamon crumble and Tarte Aux Myrtilles, the wild berry tart invented in the crisp mountain air of the French Alps, to a hearty Artisan Cheeseboard that would not be amiss enjoyed alongside a warm fire, and a beautiful snow-blizzard outside.

Priced at £42, the Alpine Ski Menu is available until the end of February and includes 3 courses with a glass of English Sparkling Wine.
