What it’s like to travel through the airport like a VIP with the Blacklane PASS and transfer service.

With endless queuing and passport checks, while lugging heavy bags around, airport travel can be a one-way ticket to stressville.

Cue the Blacklane PASS.

It stands for ‘Premium Airport Services & Solutions’ and includes a whole host of VIP services, such as a chauffeur to carry your bags at the airport, access to luxury lounges, fast-track security and more.

You can also add a Blacklane airport transfer, with a choice of premium cars to take you to and from the airport. Ours was an insanely comfy Mercedes E class.

The best part is that the Blacklane network exists in over 300 cities worldwide, taking the anxiety out of travelling somewhere new for the first time.

You book the PASS and your transfers before you go, and Blacklane has a handy app so there’s no confusion at the other end – everything’s ready and waiting for you when you land.

I tried the Blacklane PASS and airport transfer on a recent first-time trip to Budapest.

Booking online was ridiculously easy and I could see everything I’d booked on the nifty app. I also got email and text reminders giving me the name and details of my driver. By giving your flight details when you book, your driver and airport chauffeur (if you’ve booked one) can keep an eye on what time your flight lands. What’s more, there’s a complimentary wait time of 60 minutes at airports and you can cancel your ride for free, up to one hour before one-way transfers.

My travel buddy and I arrived at the airport right on schedule thanks to our Blacklane driver and before we’d had a chance to unbelt, our chauffeur was curbside and taking care of our suitcases.

Our friendly host whizzed us through check-in and our own private security check before dropping us off at a premium lounge. The whole process took less than 20 minutes – I’ve never navigated an airport so quickly and with so little stress.

The arrival in Budapest was even more luxurious. As we stepped off the plane our driver and a new chauffer were waiting on the tarmac, and while the other passengers boarded a bus, we hopped in a futuristic Mercedes. We had a private passport check desk and in a matter of minutes, were in our second Blacklane transfer and off to the hotel.

The Blacklane PASS and transfers are perfect for those wanting fuss-free airport travel with a touch of style and exclusivity. It’s a must for nervous or elderly flyers, and single parents who need an extra pair of hands.
