The Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St. Moritz has opened the doors to its newly transformed Double Rooms and Junior Suites. The rooms are part of an exquisite renovation that has seamlessly interwoven contemporary elegance with a rich historical essence.

Following the refurbishment of the Lobby, the Kempinski Lobby Bar and the award-winning Main Restaurant Les Saisons at the end of 2022, the hotel has embarked on yet another chapter in its quest to achieve ultimate refinement.

The latest part of the refurbishment programme has been revealed as a dedicated wing of the hotel that now features 26 rooms (formerly 30 rooms), which has undergone a comprehensive transformation.

Driven by an unwavering commitment to deliver the pinnacle of luxury and sophistication, the three-month renovation project takes the rooms and suites to a new level of luxury and sophistication.

Every facet of design has been curated to provide an unparalleled guest journey, where contemporary allure harmonises with an alpine chic style.

The new design concept prioritises comfort while highlighting natural materials and alpine accents. Brightness and clean lines are embodied in the room’s carpets, lighting and décor, while warm brown hues and contrasting white and dark Cavelano marble from South of Tirol in the bathrooms pay homage to the surrounding landscape.

The 21 Double Rooms evoke the enchanting spirit of the Alps by seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technology and amenities. Guests will be greeted with lavish furnishings, premium bedding from Elite, a renowned Swiss company, and sweeping vistas of the majestic alpine panorama.

In addition, the Grand Hotel has collaborated with several local suppliers to elevate the guest experience. The inviting atmosphere creates a sanctuary for relaxation, allowing visitors to unwind after a day of outdoor exploration.

For those in pursuit of elevated indulgence, the five renovated Junior Suites redefine luxury. Expansive and tastefully designed, these suites boast refined living spaces, separate bedrooms and panoramic windows that frame the awe-inspiring surroundings.

Guests can indulge in the marble-clad bathrooms equipped with state-of-the-art fixtures and lavish amenities, promising a continuous stream of lavish moments. Divercity Architects and Carole Topin led this grand project. The transformation brings new elegance and luxury to the St. Moritz hotels.

Konstantin Zeuke, General Manager of the Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski, remarks, “In our journey as a historic Grand Hotel with almost 160 years of heritage, we understand the importance of evolving with the times.

With the last renovation undertaken two decades ago, we now stand perfectly poised to offer an unparalleled experience to our valued guests, raising the bar for luxury accommodations in St. Moritz and its surroundings.

The renovated double rooms and suites demonstrate our dedication to combining traditional Swiss hospitality culture with modern nonchalance while offering the highest levels of comfort and sophistication.”
