The much-anticipated restaurant, Ormer Mayfair, has launched at London’s Flemings Hotel

Introducing Ormer Mayfair. Arguably London’s most eagerly awaited restaurant run by celebrated chef Shaun Rankin.

The new restaurant resides within luxury boutique hotel Flemings Mayfair and brings five-star dishes, impeccable service and a dash of Michelin magic to a beautifully elegant setting.

The food is sustainably sourced, locally foraged and seasonally changing, an approach that earned chef Rankin a Michelin star in his St Helier restaurant.

Ormer Mayfair boasts a wonderful bounty of Jersey and British fare that’s fuss-free and cooked to perfection.

All-day-dining
Ormer satisfies diners all day long, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, including set lunches, seasonal à la carte (including a dedicated vegetarian and vegan section) plus an eight-course tasting menu.

Sample starters include Jersey lobster ravioli with a rich crab and tomato bisque and shallot salad, and hand-dived scallops served with barbequed leeks, a sprinkling of sea herbs and a lemon parsley vinaigrette.

Standout mains include Dover sole with smoked salmon, potato and leek risotto, served with crisp quail’s eggs, and Secreto of Iberico pork with charred calamari, chorizo chutney and puréed Asian pear.

Those looking to share a real showstopper can choose fruits de mer served with Jersey Royals, fennel and mint or côte de boeuf and wild mushrooms with beer-cooked shallots, béarnaise sauce and triple-cooked chips.

For diners with a sweet tooth, there’s a coconut mousse with white chocolate, pineapple carpaccio and molten mango middle, dark chocolate brownie with popcorn, salted caramel sauce and milk ice cream, and a sharing baked Alaska.

Fine wines
Ormer Mayfair has appointed award-winning sommelier Andreas Rosendal who has previously looked after the wine lists in some of the country’s finest restaurants.

The Sparkling Wine and Champagne Trolley features award-winning labels, while the main wine list puts world-famous classic bins alongside delicious new varieties.

Ormer Mayfair also hosts the last 80 bottles left in the world of 2013 Pinot Noir from English estate Gusbourne.

The ‘hidden’ bar
The opulent Manetta’s bar is tucked away at the far end of the restaurant. Reviving the name of the original hang-out at Flemings in the 1930s, the reinvented bar recaptures the spirit of a place where spies swapped secrets.

The cocktail menu is inspired by writers Agatha Christie and Gertrude Stein. The bar is open from 11am until 11pm every day.

Private dining
Shaun Rankin’s exclusive menu can also be enjoyed privately within Ormer Mayfair. The Half Moon Suite seats up to 12 in an intimate setting, while The Clarges Suite seats up to 20.
