H. Moser & Cie. has launched a striking new red gold timepiece using Astrophysics and the Aeronautical industry materials. It is named the Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack® and boasts a somewhat minimalistic look, a distinct contrast to the complex engineering and materials used in its creation.

Extremely elegant yet minimalistic, the Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack® is a tasteful timepiece with a hint of ‘Genta’ that sits in a market where many brands have gone the ostentatious route.

The Red Gold Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack® from H.Moser & Cie follows the All-Steel model’s path and continues to use the manufacturer’s automatic calibre with a flying tourbillon. It is beautifully designed and, as they say, has curves in all the right places.

The watch gets its name from an innovative coating from the aeronautical industry and is used in astrophysics titled Vantablack®. The material has been labelled the darkest substance in existence; Vantablack® is super-black, giving the Red Gold Streamliner Tourbillon dial a striking and distinctive look. The material coats telescopes, military stealth equipment and solar panels.

The one-minute flying tourbillon at six o’clock appears to float in the middle of a black hole on the dial but is the driving force behind this superior watch. The Red Gold Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack® uses the automatic HMC 804 calibre fitted with a double hairspring, produced in-house by H. Moser & Cie. ‘s sister company Precision Engineering AG.

The pair of matched hairsprings reduce friction, significantly improving isochronism and accuracy as H.Moser & Cie seek perfection. The automatic movement has a minimum of three days of power reserve.

The red gold model, with Vantablack® dial, has an integrated bracelet in red gold and a 40mm diameter case.

The dial sits under a sapphire crystal dome giving the watch a height of 12.1 mm, so it is a relatively small watch in an age of more oversized, more showy timepieces. The Brand’s M is engraved on the Screw-in crown, and you can see the movement through the sapphire crystal back. Water-resistant to 12 ATM, you can swim wearing this watch if you choose to.

On the Vantablack® dial, you have Hour and minute hands with Globolight® inserts, with Indices secured from the back of the dial using a plate.

Packed with state-of-the-art technology, the Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack® model is an understated powerhouse, a timepiece to enjoy.

The Streamliner Tourbillon Vantablack is priced at CHF 109 000; for more information on this model and other models in their range, visit https://www.h-moser.com.
