Darkness 8 Year Old
Intense sherried whisky at its finest, the new Darkness 8-year-old has been matured in ex-bourbon barrels for eight years, before spending three months in specially coopered Oloroso sherry octaves.
These small, bespoke casks allow for more interaction between the wood, and the whisky, leading to a bold flavour reminiscent of Amaretti biscuits, candied orange and powerful raisins and prunes, with a subtle hint of ‘toastiness’ and just a little earthiness on the finish.
In other words, Christmas in a dram!
Serve: Neat, over ice or in a classic cocktail such as an Old Fashioned or Rob Roy.
