For Chinese New Year, Michelin-starred Duddell’s Hong Kong has a host of exclusive New Year offerings by Chef Yip Kar On that includes limited edition New Year puddings, gift sets and hampers, and Chinese New Year dim sum specials, set menus and takeaway Poon Choi.
Duddells Chinese New Year Dim Sum and New Dishes Offering
The new Chinese New Year Dim Sum lunch selection includes delicately crafted bites such as goldfish-shaped Shrimp Dumplings with Mullet Roe (HK$108), Truffle Bamboo Pith Dumplings (HK$78) and Pork and Shrimp Dumpling (HK$108) with semi-dried oyster and beef tongue. Available for both lunch and dinner are Crispy Lava Sesame Ball (HK$78) and Pan-fried New Year Cake (HK$68).
Seven new not-to-be-missed Chinese New Year a la carte dish specials will be served all day long. They include Canton delicacies such as Double-Boiled Chicken Soup (HK$468) served with fish maw, ginseng and dendrobium, Sauteed Lobster (HK$1,088) with Chinese celery and water chestnut, Fried Glutinous Rice (HK$468) with preserved Chinese meat and sakura shrimp, and more.
Guests wanting to enjoy the best of Duddell’s Chinese New Year culinary offerings can choose from two tasting menus. The menus comprise of 6-courses, which are priced at HK$1,088 per person and an eight-course option, which is priced at HK$1,988 per person.
Some of the culinary highlights include Deep-fried Shrimp Paste Puff with pan-fried honey-glazed semi-dried oyster, Braised Whole 30-Heads Yoshihama Abalone with oyster sauce and shiitake mushroom, Braised Pork Knuckles with semi-dried oyster and dried black moss, and Sweetened Double-Boiled Imperial Bird’s Nest with red date and longan.
Duddells Chinese New Year Poon Choi Offering
If you would prefer to celebrate the New Year in the comfort of your own home or office, the good news is Duddell’s is, once more, making celebrating simple thanks to its annual Chinese New Year Poon Choi takeaway offering. For 2023, there is a choice of the Deluxe Chinese New Year Poon Choi or Premium Chinese New Year Poon Choi.
Feast with family and friends over hearty and traditional Chinese Poon Choi, which can be ordered from JIA Everywhere. Guests can collect their poon Choi directly from Duddell’s Hong Kong between the 17th and 21st of January.
The traditional family-style Chinese casserole comprises meticulously prepared and layered ingredients, such as Braised 10-Heads South African Abalone, Braised Semi-dried Oyster in Osmanthus honey, Braised Sea Cucumber and shiitake mushroom in oyster sauce, Braised Fish Tripe in chicken stock, and Braised Pork Belly with cuttlefish and radish, among many others.
