Ideally located in the prestigious Carré d’Or district of Monte-Carlo, and within walking distance of Monaco’s iconic Casino, the luxurious Belle Époque Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo overlooks the Mediterranean and was completely renovated in 2004 by acclaimed French designer Jacques Garcia.

Garcia has again left his mark at the Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo with his stunning design for the hotel’s luxurious Carré d’Or penthouse suite.

Creating the perfect balance between tradition and modernity, elegance and extravagance, Garcia collaborated with the prestigious House of Pierre Frey to create the fabric artworks that dress the walls of the suite.

Complementing the honey-coloured parquet floors, ornate Louis XVI furniture and abundant natural light that flows in via the floor-to-ceiling windows, these delicate ivory wallcoverings incorporate shades of pink, light blues and greens, lilacs and crimsons.

The expansive 240 square-metre apartment suite comprises a capacious living room, impressive master bedroom with extensive dressing room and vanity cupboard, a voluminous marble and gold bathroom featuring a tub and massage jet shower, and a show-stopping 110 square-metre terrace boasting extraordinary views over the Principality.

Commenting on the new design, Garcia said: ‘The most beautiful suite in Monaco, the Carré d’Or offers uninterrupted views over the Mediterranean and the Monte-Carlo Casino which is, in architectural terms, one of the Principality’s legends. Elegance, comfort, culture and refinement are the hallmarks of this iconic suite.”

The Suite Carré d’Or has attracted numerous high profile guests and celebrities since the hotel opened in 1889, who value the Metropole’s unrivalled hospitality and service. The hotel team always goes the extra mile to ensure Carré d’Or visitors are superbly catered for, including for example, having a grass garden installed on the terrace within 48 hours for one high-profile guest’s canine friend.
