The legendary name Le Mans sparks excitement in all car enthusiasts. It is a race circuit that celebrates and tests man and machine. To mark Reservoir Watch’s collaboration with IDEC Sport, the watch company has produced a limited edition comprising of 24 pieces named the GT Tour Carbon IDEC Sport Edition 2021.
Reservoir Watch has an affinity with the Automotive world, having several ranges within its Cars Collection. They already produce several beautiful GT Tour models, but the latest watch will be made from Carbon fibre. The material adds uniqueness added to the strictly limited twenty-four pieces being available.
Reservoir Watch has announced it has become the official watchmaker of IDEC Sport for the European Le Mans Series 2021 (ELMS). The Maison will be on board the LMP2 #48 racing car during the next 24 Hours of Le Mans 2021, August 21st and 22nd. The 24 watches in the limited run will all be placed in the car’s cockpit so they will have completed the race before going to their new owners.
The collaboration between IDEC and Reservoir comes after a meeting between men inspired by a taste for entrepreneurship and surpassing oneself. The men share values of determination to succeed, authenticity, and courage. Patrice Lafargue, President of IDEC Group, and François Moreau, Founder of Reservoir, are the two who are excited to be working together in an arena they are passionate about.

The GT Tour Carbon IDEC Sport Edition 2021 is 43mm in diameter, so it is quite a large watch. However, this does make it easy to read with simple lines. The case is Carbon Fibre with a dark grey sandblast dial. It has a self-winding mechanical movement and a reserve power of 37 hours. The watch is supremely reliable using the Patented proprietary 124-pieces module on an ETA 2824-2 calibre.
The cover is an Anti-reflective sapphire crystal allowing unobstructed viewing. Water-resistant 5ATM, it has an Opened case-back with a screw-down crown. The timepiece comes with two straps, a Perforated racing black calf leather and a NATO one. A stainless steel butterfly folding clasp with Quick-release spring bars for easy changing of strap
The special presentation box includes certification of taking part in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 2021, aboard the LMP2 IDEC Sport racing car. Owners will be invited to a one-day VIP seat for the next 24 Hours of Le Mans 2022 (practice or race, excluding transport/accommodation). The box also contains an exclusive miniature model of the car and an additional NATO strap.

Pricing: In Europe, the timepieces are priced at €8500.00 € T.T.C. In the UK, the price is £8,100.00 inc VAT, and in the US, the MSRP is $8,600.00 excluding Local Taxes. Just twenty-four pieces will be made, and they will be available to order from October 2021 via the watch company’s online store of their network of approved retailers.
