On Saturday, 10th June and Sunday, 11th June, for two nights only, One Michelin-starred and Michelin Green star recipient, Roganic Hong Kong, will host a special international guest chef collaboration between chef Simon Rogan and chef Michihiro Haruta of Two Michelin-starred restaurant Crony in Tokyo.

Recognised for its sustainability efforts with a Michelin Green Star, Crony is a Tokyo-style French restaurant inspired by the chef’s experiences working in Europe and the United States.

Although the two chefs come from different backgrounds and parts of the world, they have a shared passion, and it’s for local, organic, and seasonal ingredients. Their collaborative menu will feature stunning dishes driven by their joint efforts towards a more sustainable gastronomic future.

About Chef Michihiro Haruta
Born in 1987 in Japan, Chef Michihiro Haruta has had a glittering career, having worked and trained in some of the world’s finest restaurants, including Three Michelin-starred Ledoyen in Paris in 2009, Three Michelin-starred Quintessence in Tokyo in 2011, One Michelin-starred Restaurant Kadeau in Copenhagen in 2013, Three Michelin-starred + Michelin Green star recipient Maaemo in 2014, and Two Michelin-starred Saison in San Francisco in 2016.

The special collaboration dinner menu will consist of thirteen courses. The dishes will be paired with a selection of rare wines curated by the Roganic team, which are known to feature a unique portfolio of natural, organic, and biodynamic wines.

“Roganic’s Executive chef, Oli Marlow, and I go back to 2014 when we both worked together in the kitchen of Maaemo in Oslo. Nine years later, I am grateful we were able to reconnect to cook together once again,” says chef Michihiro Haruta.

“This will also be my second time representing Crony in Hong Kong, the first time since the post-COVID-19 era, and I am delighted to be returning to one of my favourite cities in the world for its progressive food culture.”

Chef Simon Rogan added, “We are thrilled to welcome Chef Michihiro to join us at Roganic Hong Kong. Together, we have crafted a sensational dining experience for our guests that promotes a positive message for the future of sustainable dining. I am looking forward to welcoming our guests to this one-of-a-kind collaboration.”
