Imagine owning a beautiful timepiece from the 18th Century, having that connection to the past and all that happened then. Emile Chouriet is giving you an opportunity in the form of their elegant Lac Lèman Chronometer a modern watch with centuries of history.
Lac Lèman is a world-famous site of extraordinary beauty shared between France and Switzerland with the Swiss city of Geneva at its southern end. The historical centre for Horology has many Watchmakers of the highest quality, one being Emile Chouriet whose founder left France for Switzerland to establish himself as an artisan creator.
The new Lac Lèman Chronometer pays tribute to the man and his origins in France.
The Lac Lèman Chronometer has the signature wing-shaped lugs of a Chouriet piece, coming in a 40mm polished steel case. The case harmonises with an elaborate stainless steel integrated bracelet. The links are different sizes and polished, or satin-brushed finished to highlight the distinct shape.
A new dial has been made for this model, embellished with several elements that are inspired by the golden age of watchmaking. The dial itself is silvery-white, with a subtle but visible pattern reminiscent of guilloché engraving.
The applied Arabic hour numerals are done in the “Breguet” font, masterfully sculpted with a blued and rounded finish. The slim leaf-shaped hands are also done in a thermic blue tone that further accentuates the elegance of the dial.
The Lac Lèman Chronometer offers outstanding performance tested to the highest certified standards. It is powered by the EC9312 calibre a movement accurate to -4 to +6 seconds per day. When fully wound, the movement provides a power reserve of 42 hours and is visible through the sapphire display back.
Fashionably versatile and reliably precise, the Lac Léman Chronometer is a compelling choice for those seeking a watch with all the allure of traditional watchmaking in a contemporary and ergonomic form.
