Created by dynamic Maldivian entrepreneur Ahmed Siyam Mohamed, the Collection of Beach Houses are resorts which cater to the whim and fantasy of the ultra-chic jetsetter who carves a get-away-from –it –all destination.
The Beach House Collection is defined by the philosophy of ‘Crafting the Extraordinary,’ placing guests at the heart of every experience. The first Beach House property Iruveli is located on the northernmost atoll of the Maldives, while a second property Beach House Pasikudah is set to open in late October 2013 on the east coast of Sri Lanka. Future Beach Houses are planned in Bali and across the Indian Ocean.
A key hallmark of all Beach House Collection resorts is a deep attachment to the neighbouring cultures, enabling guests to be fully immersed in each destination’s distinct customs and traditions.
Beach House Iruveli crafts extraordinary experiences from its location on a remote island in the midst of Haa Alif. Guests can immerse themselves in its protected surroundings whilst enjoying breath-taking views of the Indian Ocean from its Water and Beach Villas.
Whilst staying at Beach House Iruveli, one can not only enjoy the island, but also the history of the surrounding islands and experience centuries-old customs and traditions including local cooking and handicraft workshops. There is also a range of recreational activities on offer such as the kids’ club, tennis courts, yoga, scuba-diving, snorkelling and the De’ Spa.
The Beach House Collection will also open Beach House Pasikudah in October 2013. Situated in the pristine Sri Lankan east coast, the Beach House Pasikudah will comprise of 32 luxurious suites and 2 expansive beach pavilions, with personal plunge and swimming pools. Similar to the local experiences on offer at Iruveli, guests will be encouraged to venture outside of the resort and explore the rich surrounding culture.
The Second Island at Beach House Iruveli
Beach House Iruveli enjoys exclusive access to a second, completely secluded and uninhabited island that is available for guests to visit during the day or for an overnight trip in a castaway-styled escape.
Newly launched for 2013, Beach House Iruveli will be offering guests a selection of Morning, Sunset and Overnight Escapes to the deserted island of Govvafushi – perfect for couples and families to unwind in a private and pristine corner of the world. Guests can witness the natural beauty of the island, tuck into delicious, gourmet meals and enjoy the seclusion and privacy of their very own island escape. Beach House Iruveli has built a small accommodation offering on the island with open shower and beautiful landscaping out to the beach. Sunbeds and hammocks have also been set up in a few magical spots across the island.
Govvafushi is around 1 squared hectare in size and is only a seven-minute transfer from the resort by boat. Dolphins frequent the waters between the islands so guests can luxuriate in the company of these incredible animals.
The chefs at Beach House Iruveli will create bespoke picnics tailored for guests with a large variety of canapés, sandwiches, bento boxes and drinks, all of which will be served with beautiful cutlery made from seashells and coconut wood. For those staying overnight, guests will be treated to a traditional Maldivian Dinner on the beach that will include Malaafai (a traditional Maldivian meal) served with a chilled bottle of Champagne. Overnight guests can also enjoy breakfast before being transferred back to Beach House Iruveli.
