A taste of Panama

Moko Caribbean Rum
Something a little out of the ordinary often makes a gift memorable. Moko Caribbean Rum fits the bill perfectly and might be the first present your Father has ever received originating from Panama!

If you are not familiar with Moko, here’s some background information: In 1869, two adventurous French brothers, Ernest and Maurice Lasserre decided to create their own brand of rum choosing the brand name, MOKO. Over the years, the brothers’ creations picked up numerous awards, but in the 1960s distribution suddenly ceased.

Jump forward to 2017, and the direct descendants of Ernest have picked up the baton and are now continuing the family rum-making tradition.

Moko rum is aged for seven years in Panama until maturity. The thing that makes Moko a little more unique is it then finished in the cellar of Maison Peyrat in old oaks previously used for ageing cognacs. This results in a super-rich premium rum which is ideal for summer cocktails.

The smell and taste of Moko
The nose offers delicate notes of exotic fruits, coconut and toasted almonds. The mouth roundness reveals a pleasant sensation of freshness.

Moko Caribbean Rum is available to order from www.ellustria.com and is priced at £42.00.
