A Fine-Dining Extravaganza at the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic in 2022

Once considered a sin, desire has been transformed into a privilege in 2022 by the Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes thanks to its “A desire to…” series. These themed packages designed by this palace-hotel in Cannes include one specifically for food-lovers, “A desire for fine dining”, which offers a host of tempting gastronomic options and leisure activities.

Chef Pierre GagnaireThe Hôtel Barrière Le Majestic Cannes is not only one of the finest 5-star hotels on the Côte d’Azur; it also boasts some of the region’s finest dining, with no fewer than four restaurants competing for guests’ attention. The first of these is Le Fouquet’s Cannes, the younger sibling of the famous brasserie on the Champs Élysées that delights guests with recipes created by Pierre Gagnaire, who was voted “the world’s best Michelin-starred chef” by his peers in 2015.

Gagnaire (right) will also be making an appearance at Paradiso Nicole & Pierre, the Majestic’s most gourmet-inspired restaurant where, together with Nicole Rubi, the diva of Niçois cuisine, he’ll be creating sun-blessed dishes teeming with the flavours of Nice and Italy. A third culinary journey comes courtesy of Mauro Colagreco, one of the world’s most popular three-Michelin-starred chefs.

His native Argentina and its famous “Asado” inspired the chef’s concept for BFire, La Plage du Majestic’s restaurant where meat, fish, and vegetables are all grilled over a wood fire. Lastly, there is the Mademoiselle Gray, the restaurant at La Plage de l’Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d’Albion, where Pierrick Cizeron, executive chef at Barrière’s restaurants, is behind an extraordinary culinary journey that takes guests to all four corners of the Mediterranean.

This tempting array of restaurants had to be part of the Majestic’s “A desire to…” collection, a series of packages designed by the hotel for 2022. Their new “A desire for fine dining” package for two people combines all the comfort of a stay at the Majestic with the joy of fine dining.

The package includes all the benefits of this stylish 5-star hotel, including the hotel’s renowned impeccable service and an elegant guestroom with an enchanting sea view that takes in the Croisette, the bay of Cannes, the famous steps of the Palais des Festivals and the Lérins Islands.

And the fine dining?
This special gourmet-focused stay starts with a VIP welcome, including a selection of sweet or savoury treats and a glass of excellent champagne. Then, in the early evening, this feast for the tastebuds continues in the Bar du Fouquet’s Cannes with a champagne aperitif and plate of antipasti prepared by the chefs at Paradiso Nicole & Pierre. What better way to start the evening?

For dinner, the Majestic raises the stakes even higher with a choice between dinner at Le Fouquet’s Cannes, where guests can enjoy the Menu Pierre Gagnaire and its paired wines, or a three-course supper (also with wine pairings) at Paradiso Nicole & Pierre, ensuring an evening full of sublime flavours.

This gourmet theme continues the following morning when you start the day with a champagne buffet breakfast at Le Fouquet’s Cannes, followed by a visit to Cannes’ Forville food market in the company of Pierrick Cizeron and a cookery workshop based around an ingredient chosen in advance. Guests will be creating a three-course meal for their own lunch: a great way to take some of the Majestic’s culinary expertise home with you!

But that’s not all – on leaving the hotel, guests are also presented with one final treat: a signed recipe book by either Pierre Gagnaire or Mauro Colagreco.
