Opened in 2004, the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo will be paying special attention to the fashion world this year, working with two leading and award-winning British accessories designers, Lulu Guinness and Solange Azagury-Partridge, and will be styled with the “I Kiss Métropole” theme, starting from 06 February 2012 until 15 March 2012. The Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo was named “Best Hotel in the World 2010” at the Leading Hotels of the World annual convention, held in Tokyo on 19 November.
‘Miss Rose’, Hotel Métropole’s highly talented in-house stylist and florist, will create this fashionable and romantic theme inside the hotel to welcome guests this Valentine’s 2012. Taking inspiration from Kenzo’s poppyseeds, she will devise spectacular flower arrangements of fields of hot-red roses, synonymous with luxury and passion.
‘I Kiss Métropole’ touches will be scattered throughout the hotel in all the public areas, including The Bar, the Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo, and Yoshi, Joël Robuchon’s first Japanese restaurant.
Solange Azagury-Partridge’s new stylish collection of enamel HotLips rings will be presented in a star-shaped case in the Salon des Portraits, beside a large studded chair where guests are invited to sit and try on the rings, as well as another display cabinet where more of the elegant pieces from the collection will be exhibited. Furthermore, a piece of artwork by renowned American artist Scott Campbell, exclusively created for Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, will be displayed.
Lulu Guinness’ renowned lip clutch-bags will be showcased in The Lobby, surrounded by an original arrangement of red roses, creating a particularly romantic, elegant and magical ambiance. This contemporary and elegant hotel combines a subtle blend of its glorious past with Mediterranean tones. Thanks to Yoshi, Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo, overseen by Jean-Claude Messant, has become a true gastronomic destination. Aside from Yoshi, the hotel offers its local and international clientele the Restaurant Joël Robuchon Monte-Carlo – 2 Michelin stars – the Lobby Bar, the most buzzing space in the Principality, and the swimming pool restaurant, a haven in the heart of the hotel.
