Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts, part of Marriott Bonvoy’s global portfolio of 31 extraordinary hotel brands, has officially opened the doors to Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort. This newly updated property aims to introduce a new era of culturally infused hospitality to Phuket’s stunning sunset coast.

Nestled in the golden sands of Mai Khao Beach and surrounded by the natural beauty of Sirinat National Park, the Le Meridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach resort provides a serene tropical hideaway for guests to unwind in style.

On the announcement of the property’s official opening, Jakob Helgen, Marriott International’s Area Vice President for Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Myanmar, said, “We are delighted to start welcoming guests to Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort as we continue to introduce our industry-leading brands to Thailand’s most desirable destinations.

In addition, a selection of family rooms with bunk beds are available, and the newly reimagined resort has also introduced brand-new pool access rooms, private cabana rooms, two-bedroom suites and private pool suites.

The resort features an outdoor lagoon pool, a children’s fun pool, a kids’ club and plenty of outdoor activities. Travellers will also have direct access to Mai Khao Beach, which set the stage for beachfront yoga and water sports such as paddle-boarding and kayaking. After a fun-filled day, the beach serves as the perfect spot to sit back and admire the evocative Andaman sunsets.

A look inside the Nook

Throughout their stay, guests can grab light bites, cool drinks and locally-inspired snacks at The Nook, the resort’s casual café, while Ocean Kitchen is the signature Mediterranean restaurant where guests can savour an appetizing selection of freshly prepared European and Middle Eastern cuisine, including prime grilled meats, fresh seafood, wood-fired pizzas and healthy dishes, accompanied with craft and draft beers, fine wines, creative cocktails, tropical juices and more.
