Scenic Unveils New Southeast Asia Luxury River Cruise Programme for 2024/25

Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours have today unveiled their new 2024/25 Southeast Asia river cruise programme with extended stays in some of Asia’s hot spots and over seven new enhanced shore excursions (Freechoice), including exclusive food and drink experiences and community programme visits allowing Scenic guests to truly immersive themselves in the destinations and travel deeper into the heart of Southeast Asia than ever before.

To celebrate the launch of the new programme, Scenic is offering savings of up to 20% and free flights* with the Super Earlybird savings promotion on new bookings made before 30 November 2023.

Guests will voyage through Southeast Asia on board the boutique 5-star Scenic Spirit – a custom-designed vessel offering the largest suites on the Mekong River. Whilst on board, all meals, premium international beverages, and Scenic Freechoice and Scenic Enrich activities and experiences are included.

Highlights of the new 24/2025 Southeast Asia programme include:

The Patuxay Monument in Vientiane

Extended city stays in Vang Vieng and Vientiane (both Laos)
With the introduction of the new high-speed rail link between Vientiane and China, guests can enjoy extended stays in Laos on selected itineraries. Added to Scenic sailings in 2023, the two destinations are a must-see on any itinerary.

Vang Vieng is globally renowned for its beautiful natural scenery. Above, limestone mountains loom over the town and below, cave systems map an uncharted world. Vientiane is Laos’ national capital and is famous for its stunning architecture and iconic Buddhist temples – most notably the golden, 16th-century Pha That Luang statue.

Guests will now be able to stay in Vang Vieng and Vientiane for an additional night, travelling between these two destinations on the new High-Speed Rail service.

New Scenic Freechoice foodie experiences in Hoi An, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam)
New for 2024, Scenic has added three new foodie experiences for guests. In Hoi An, guests are invited to the Hoi An Lim Dining Restaurant. Serving modern Italian cuisine nestled in the heart of Hoi An Ancient Town, the owner’s mantra of “the more, the merrier” truly comes to life.

In Hanoi, guests can visit La Table Hanoi Restaurant, which is situated in the French Quarter. The restaurant is housed in the iconic Press Club building and serves traditional French dishes in a stylish setting. Finally, in Ho Chi Minh City, guests can join a new jeep street food safari to taste, smell and see local street food before visiting the famous night flower market and concluding the evening over drinks in a rooftop bar.

Prices for the 20-Day Highlights of Vietnam, Cambodia & Luxury Mekong cruise start from £9,195pp plus £1,500pp flight credit when paying in full at the time of booking.

Spending time with the local community in Cambodia
Allowing guests to truly immerse themselves in the local culture has always been a staple on Scenic Cruises. New for 24/2025 is a visit to the Senteurs d’Angkor Workshop. In this botanical garden, guests can learn all about Cambodia’s herbs, spices and fruits and see locals at work in workshops dedicated to the preservation of the arts and crafts of Cambodia.

At the Satcha Cambodian Handicraft Incubation Centre, guests can see local artisans mixing traditional knowledge with contemporary design to showcase Cambodian talents.

The centre aims to help these artisans gain the know-how to develop their own businesses, thereby having a sustainable social, economic, and environmental impact on the local community. Finally, guests are invited to Noir Dining in the Dark in Saigon. This restaurant is dedicated to helping the blind and visually impaired community.

Guests can experience a culinary journey through taste, smell, touch and sound through dining in the dark. It is not simply dining but rather a mind-altering experience where smell, taste, touch and hearing unite to bring a completely new sensory experience.

Prices for the 24-Day Essence of Vietnam, Cambodia & Luxury Mekong start from £8,996 per person plus £1,500 per person flight credit when paying in full at the time of booking.

Scenic’s river cruises are truly all-inclusive. Transfers, fine dining experiences, premium international branded beverages and once-in-a-lifetime immersive excursions are all included in the price.

* Guests can save up to 20 per cent for Earlybird, and if booking Super Earlybird, guests receive the 20 per cent saving plus flight credit up to the value of £3,000 per couple when paying in full ten months prior to departure or at the time of booking, and if booked by 30 November 2023.
