The Final 12 are Chosen for the Wine Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu

Le Cordon Bleu London has chosen the 12 finalists for the last round of the Wine Scholarship by Le Cordon Bleu. The twelve will compete to win a place in the renowned Diploma in Wine, Gastronomy and Management, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the most ardent wine enthusiasts.

Following the two semi-finals held online in June, 12 contestants were chosen to compete in the final on 29th July at the institute in Holborn, London. The finalists will need to complete an interview with Le Cordon Bleu London’s Wine Development Manager and Master Sommelier, Matthieu Longuere, and fellow industry experts. In addition, a written challenge will be designed to gauge their passion for the topic.

Once the final challenges and judging are complete, there will be an award ceremony to crown the winner, followed by a drinks reception.

The institute is searching for aspiring wine professionals with a genuine passion for the industry, giving them the chance to follow their dreams and aspirations. An impressive list of partners involved in the scholarship includes Louis Latour, Gusbourne, Smith & Sheth, Pyramid Valley, Viu Manent, Banfi, HIDE and Hedonism.

The six-month diploma provides an in-depth knowledge of wine, its integration with gastronomy and its management within a commercial environment. The programme is headed by Matthieu and features guest lectures from leading wine and hospitality industry names.
