Guide to the Best Parks and Outdoor Spaces in Selangor, Malaysia

Regular readers will know that we are always trying to find ways to get you outdoors in the fresh air. It doesn’t matter where you are in the world, there’s little to beat the great outdoors, and for this guide, we’re heading to Selangor in Malaysia to highlight some of the places that should be top of your lists for exercising, some general outdoor fun or to relax.

Unlike many writers who’ll compile a guide focused on somewhere in the tropics they’ve never visited, my wife and I spent many years living in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Penang) and were frequent visitors to the state of Selangor.

One of the things we always remarked upon is how busy and congested some areas of the state are. However, the regional government knows this and has put in a huge effort to create some superb outdoor spaces where people can enjoy some fresh air, relax, bond, and exercise.

All of the outdoor spaces included in the guide are perfect for those who enjoy jogging and cycling and make ideal locations for the family to head to, if for nothing more than bonding and admiring some natural beauty.
