With the news that the FCO has removed river cruising from its blanket cruise ban, Scenic have put together some packages for France that include a complimentary pre-cruise overnight stay and a classic 2CV city tour, all included in the cost of the cruise.

It’s the news many fans of cruising have been waiting for, the shackles have been removed and the green light is on for some serene luxury and culture in 2021!

To whet your appetites, Scenic has unveiled its brand new selection of exclusive and included experiences for its France 2021 programme. These new cruises will be featuring immersive art exhibitions, classical music masterpieces, acapella performances and Michelin star dining experiences. All designed to provide guests with a truly unique and exclusive river cruise.

Guests travelling on Scenic’s Beautiful Bordeaux, Bordeaux Affair or new Flavours of Bordeaux river cruises will enjoy a complimentary pre-cruise stay at the Intercontinental Bordeaux* and a tour of Bordeaux in a classic 2CV car.

Art-lovers will be wowed with a visit to the immersive digital art exhibition, Les Bassins de Lumières, on the 11-day Flavours of Bordeaux itinerary. Set inside Bordeaux’s former submarine base, guests will enjoy exclusive after-hours access to enjoy the impressive installation with a glass of champagne in hand. Prices start from £3,645 per person, based on 30 April 2021 departure.

The South of France, Idyllic Rhône and Tastes of Southern France river cruises include a complimentary pre-cruise stay at the Sofitel Bordeaux* and a tour of Lyon in a classic 2CV car. Guests sailing through Lyon will be treated to a breathtaking acapella performance in Trinity Chapel, while those on the South of France and Idyllic Rhône itineraries will be serenaded with an exclusive performance at a Gala dinner at the Palais des Papes in Avignon.

Prices for the 11-day South of France itinerary start from £3,295 per person, based on 17 April 2021 departure.

On the Seine, guests will visit Vernon’s Château de La Roche-Guyon for a classical concert performed by the region’s most reputable musicians while overlooking the river and the small village bearing the same name. Guests booking on Scenic’s Highlights of Normandy & the Seine and Normandy & Gems of the Seine itineraries will enjoy a complimentary pre-cruise stay at the Hilton Opera Paris* and a tour of Paris in a classic 2CV car.

Prices for the eight-day Highlights of Normandy & the Seine itinerary start from £2,945 per person, based on 20 April 2021 departure.

Included in the offers are Scenic’s new culinary cruises (Flavours of Bordeaux or Tastes of Southern France). Featuring outstanding gastronomic experiences such as an onboard dinner prepared by Michelin star chef Didier Goiffon and a cooking class at three-star Michelin chef Georges Blanc’s restaurant.
