Due to the vast size of this gorgeous oasis of a resort, it was great to learn that there were segway tours to give guests an up-close look at the beautiful areas along the beaches and gulf. Guests also have access to sailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, kayaking, wakeboarding and banana boating.
It seems with sheer determination and unmatched innovation, Dubai has transformed itself into the region’s leading travel destination. Once a quiet coastal settlement, the emirate now boasts iconic towers that soar to the sky, thrilling theme parks and some of the finest golfing greens too.
I had some truly amazing experiences in Dubai which saw me take in the glitz and glamour of the 11th Dubai International Film Festival. I also enjoyed a magical balloon ride that ascended into the sky as the first rays of the sun cast their light on the golden desert with breathtaking views of the desert landscape, the city and beyond. I also reveled in camel rides, a dune jeep safari, watched a skilled falconry show, sampled superb cuisine at some of the finest restaurants, witnessed the hustle and bustle of the local souks, visited the top of the iconic Burj Khalifa and experienced stunning views, right through to shopping at the vast and luxurious Dubai mall.
While Dubai’s list of achievements is impressive, at the heart of this modern metropolis lie the unwavering Arabian traditions of hospitality and generosity. Endeared by the genuine warmth and friendliness of the local people, Dubai has so much to offer and has every tourism niche covered.
