Grand Hotel Kronenhof Debuts Socially-Distanced Outdoor Spa Platforms

Grand Hotel Kronenhof has found the perfect solution to ease all the anxiety generated by the Covid-19 pandemic: it has created outdoor spa platforms for the summer 2020 season that are perfect for socially-distanced yoga, Pilates and meditation classes.

There are many great luxury hotels around the world, but few can match the incredible beauty surrounding the Grand Hotel Kronenhof in Switzerland. It’s obvious that the world has had a huge shock this year and two words that have become part of everyday conversations is social-distancing. This has meant that all sectors of the hospitality industry have had to make changes, some positive, some negative.

Fortunately, the Grand Hotel Kronenhoff falls into the positive category and its new innovation is designed to bring even more pleasure for its guests.

To allow guests to continue to do what they enjoy in the safest possible way, the hotel has introduced four outdoor wooden platforms. These are all on slightly different levels and are located on the slope that leads from the Grand Hotel Kronenhof gardens down to the Flaz river.

The platforms are designed to add an extra level of seclusion for yogis while making the most of the calm-instilling Engadine Valley panorama. Just imagine doing yoga while looking at the glistening Val Roseg glacier which will be clearly visible from the platforms along with the beautiful Staz forest.

The hotel provides complimentary classes as part of its daily wellness programme (that also includes aqua aerobics, TRX Workout and more) accompanied by the gentle rumblings of the river below and the sweet fragrance of wildflowers, creating the most idyllic environment for a relaxing wellness session.

The yoga platforms build on Grand Hotel Kronenhof’s already well-established focus on wellness in the great outdoors. In addition to some of the more obvious activities on offer in the Swiss Alps, such as hiking, mountain biking, stand-up paddling and wild swimming, the hotel has incorporated goat yoga, whey baths and forest bathing into its repertoire in recent years, making it the obvious choice for those who want to get out into the open, away from it all and simply switch off.
