Chef Shinji Kanesaka to Make his Hong Kong Debut on February 23rd & 24th

Acclaimed Chef Shinji Kanesaka from the revered Kanesaka restaurant empire will be bringing his famed culinary skills to Kanesaka Hong Kong, for a special event, which will take place on the 23rd and 24th of February.

The special event, which consists of lunch x 1 round, dinner x 2 rounds at the main counter and private counter + lunch x 1 round + dinner x 1 round in a private room, will provide sushi aficionados with a rare opportunity to experience the renowned chef’s exquisite creations first-hand at the main counter.

During his visit, Chef Kanesaka will curate a special omakase menu priced at HK$3,500 + 10% per head, showcasing his unparalleled culinary expertise and commitment to delivering an unforgettable experience for patrons.

With a limited seating capacity of 9 guests at the main counter, guests are encouraged to secure their reservations in advance to indulge in a one-of-a-kind sushi culinary journey personally helmed by Chef Kanesaka.

Working alongside Chef Kanesaka will be local Hong Kong Head Chef Seiji Taniguchi and Sushi Sous Chef Kento Omine, together with Chef Tomonori Okabe and Chef Kotaro Saiga from Ginza Sushi Kanesaka in Tokyo.

“I want to create sushi that is well balanced, like the Chinese character for “1”. The start of the stroke, the whip of the brush, the end of the stroke – all must be well balanced,” says Chef Shinji Kanesaka.
