After many years at the helm of one of the most renowned Michelin-starred restaurants in Tuscany and now based in Dubai as Director of Culinary of Mine & Yours Group for the opening of Chic Nonna and L’Amo Bistrò del Mare, Chef Vito Mollica will be heading back to Florence for the launch of the Chic Nonna di Vito Mollica restaurant in March 2022.
Chic Nonna di Vito Mollica will be housed inside Palazzo Portinari Salviati. The Palazzo is a historic building that was the birthplace of Beatrice Portinari, the muse who inspired the Italian poet Dante Alighieri. Later it became the residence of Cosimo I of Tuscany, whose statue still resides in the centre of the Palazzo’s courtyard.
The stunning Italian ‘salotto’ will boast an enviable position overlooking the central streets of Florence and is situated close to Piazza Duomo and Brunelleschi’s Dome, which makes it the ideal place for an immersive and emotional fine dining experience.

Guests who have a penchant for history will be thrilled to know that the Chic Nonna di Vito Mollica inside Corte Degli Imperatori will feature frescoes dating back to the fifteenth century, depicting Homer’s Odyssey attributed to Alessandro Allori.
In addition to this, Chic Nonna di Vito Mollica will have a Lounge Bar & Bistrot, with a variety of menus, which have been inspired by the Tuscan and Italian culinary tradition.
The new restaurant project has resulted from a partnership with LDC Hotels & Resorts, which will be directly managing the apartments and the exclusive Spa that are also located inside the building.
