About IKEPOD
The original Ikepod company was a Swiss wristwatch manufacturer, specializing in conceptual timepieces. Ikepod began in 1993, when Oliver Ike spotted the Australian designer Marc Newson due to his first publication in Europe. Together they completed their first prototype wristwatch called Seaslug. Ikepod launched numerous designs over the ensuing decade.

In autumn 2005, New York-based entrepreneur, art collector and timepiece aficionado Adam Lindemann, in partnership with Marc Newson, apparently acquired the entire archive of the Swiss Ikepod Company (including the rights to the TM Ikepod and all Marc Newson designs) and began an intensive initiative to launch another company. Under the aegis of this new New York, U.S.A. based company named IKEPOD NEW YORK, Marc Newson has personally redesigned and updated every detail and created a new collection in precious metals only.
