New Years Resolution: Must get better at golf!

New Years Resolution: Must get better at golf!

With 2014 looming fast, it’s time to sit down and make some resolutions. Over the past few years, I’ve switched from the usual ‘Must get fitter and must give up this or that’ to a smattering of ‘Get better at’ goals.

One resolution for 2014 is to ‘not look so obviously bad on a golf course’, wandering around hacking away with the club, plastered in sun screen and getting more and more frustrated every ten minutes makes me wonder ‘why on Earth do I keep doing this?’

Golf is one of those games that I think was created to to make people look bad, and the only way to avoid looking bad is to get better. If golf was invented by me, we would all have luxury motorised carts with computer-based projectile machines on the front that you pointed, programmed and pressed a button to shoot the ball at the desired target. Imagine it, Verdi playing in the background, drink of choice in hand, comfortable leather seats and beautiful scenery. But it wasn’t invented by me and I, like the millions around the world that play the game have to improve based upon the existing rules!

So you could imagine my thrill when I heard that one of Europe’s leading golf destinations was offering a package to improve your golf skills coupled with a stay at a luxury hotel that Luxurious Magazine knows very well.

The Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda is offering a special golf performance week with either five or seven night’s accommodation

The Boutique Hotel Vivenda Miranda is offering a special golf performance week with either five or seven night’s accommodation, breakfast buffet, welcome drink and €75 to spend in the Mirandus restaurant in addition to a Category C rental car from/to Faro airport and free use of their Wellness Spa Suite and Gym by Cascade.

With panoramic ocean views and surrounded by lush Mediterranean gardens, it is a hidden oasis within minutes of many of the area’s leading golf courses.
