For Spring, Tumi is launching an addition to their existing Tegra-Lite collection – three new colour styles – Viridian, Cerulean and Iridium. These three join the existing assortment of Graphite, White and Black color ways. The Tegra-Lite collection is designed and engineered in America with exceptional robust-nous combining durability and impact resistance within a protective hard-side case that is both lightweight and very maneuverable.

Tegra-Lite made from Tegris, is a revolutionary polypropylene thermoplastic composite material created by Milliken® for use in lifesaving armor, Nascar race cars and protective gear for NFL players. It is an extruded filament that can be woven into fabric and then pressed into hard sheets. The Tumi and Milliken partnership on Tegris has been in development for several years; the product is exclusive to Tumi for travel and accessory products around the world.
Tegris, provides up to 15X the impact resistance of typical thermoplastics composites and maintains this level of performance at low temperatures (-40°C).
